Former President, Owner Hiway Refrigeration Ltd. (Vancouver)

Bev Briscoe is a Chartered Accountant with extensive industry experience. Until recently, Ms. Briscoe was the President and owner of Hiway Refrigeration Ltd., a British Columbia-based company specializing in selling and servicing transportation refrigeration equipment used in the trucking and shipping industries.

Prior to purchasing Hiway Refrigeration in 1997, Ms. Briscoe worked in senior management positions in the heavy equipment industry as Vice President and General Manager of Wajax Industries Ltd. and Vice President of Finance of the Rivtow Group of Companies in Vancouver, B.C. She also worked as Chief Financial Officer for various operating divisions in The Jim Pattison Group in B.C. and Geneva, Switzerland. She articled with Coopers & Lybrand and worked with them in Vancouver and Sydney, Australia.

Ms. Briscoe is currently the Chair of the Industry Training Authority in B.C., a crown agency responsible for skills training and apprenticeship programs in the province. She is a Director of BC Rail Corporation, Westminster Savings Credit Union and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver.

Ms. Briscoe holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia.
